Laser Therapy & Surgery

At Ridge Lake Animal Hospital, we strive to always remain on top of the latest advancements in veterinary medicine so that we can continue to offer the best available care and most advanced treatment options to our clients and their cherished pets. To that end, we are proud to offer laser therapy and laser surgery as a part of our comprehensive suite of quality veterinary medical services.

Companion Laser Therapy

Laser therapy uses light technology to accelerate the body’s natural healing process through what’s known as photobiomodulation. The laser can be used to treat a wide variety of medical conditions, including chronic and degenerative conditions such as arthritis, as well as acute conditions, and post- surgical pain and inflammation. This form of therapy provides many tangible benefits to our patients, including a reduction in pain and inflammation, improved mobility and faster healing following surgery or injury. We invite you to speak with one of our knowledgeable staff members to see if laser therapy is something that your pet could benefit from.

Laser Surgery

In addition to its therapeutic uses, laser technology can also be used to perform many of our surgical procedures. The laser is used in place of a traditional scalpel to produce a more precise incision with less bleeding and much less discomfort. Recovery from laser surgery is also faster and more comfortable for most animals, making it the surgery of choice for many of our clients. Ask us today if laser surgery would be a good option for your pet’s next procedure.
